Bookkeepers – London – AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY

As a provider of outsourced finance staff we are seeking experienced bookkeepers for both full and part-time roles.

Our clients are predominantly SMEs based in or around the Greater London area and since you will generally be working from their premises good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently are pre-requisites.

Typically your responsibilities will include:

•  Invoice, receipts and payments processing
•  Processing monthly journals including accruals and prepayments
•  Bank and other monthly control account reconciliations
•  Maintenance of the general ledger to trial balance
•  Preparation of VAT returns

Ideally you will:

•  Have a bookkeeping qualification and be able to demonstrate at least two years’ experience in a similar role
•  Be an experienced user of Sage or other similar accounting software package
•  Have good Excel skills
•  A good understanding of accounting fundamentals

Commercial Financial Director – London

Our client is an established, highly entrepreneurial and fast-growing niche property developer, with six high value developments within Westminster valued in excess of £700m. Their reputation is for a strong design vision and for delivering outstanding value for both investors and end-users. This is an environment where talented leaders are valued.

You will lead and develop a small team of Project Controllers who support the developments. Your grasp of commercial detail and your ability to understand and explain the impact of events on all aspects of the business will be critical. You will be articulate; hands-on; resilient when working to tight deadlines; able to prioritise; and adept at marshalling effort from across the business to get issues resolved.
You will be responsible for financial reporting and control across the business including taking a lead role during the raising of development finance with investors and debt funders.
This is a challenging and interesting role involving accounting, financial planning, investment appraisal, commercial negotiation and effective communication. It requires someone who can combine strong traditional financial and management skills with commercial acumen, teamwork and an enquiring mind.

You will:

•  Hold an ACA qualification (ideally big-4) with first time passes and at least 8 years PQE
•  Have commercial experience across a broad range of activities (for example through working on multiple disciplines within a large accountancy practice)
•  Be an effective communicator to varying astute audiences
•  Be hands-on, detail-focused and regularly use Excel to an advanced level
•  Have successfully led a finance team of at least 3 people

We are also interested in someone who has:

•  Property and construction industry experience
•  Experience of raising debt and equity finance
•  Relevant tax and legal knowledge including VAT
•  Experience of working with off-shore entity structures

Salary up to £90,000 plus competitive annual bonus, pension and benefits

Finance Director – City of London

This opportunity is with a well-established and ambitious £10m turnover services company. Highly innovative, and building on 14 years’ experience as a market leading IT services company, our client is re-thinking the way customers look at what they want from their IT and IT providers. •  Have worked in a senor financial role within the B2B services sector

Management Accountant - Trading and Investment Company in London

Our client is a successful trading and investments firm based in London. This is a high-energy environment with a creative and proactive culture where you will be able to use your initiative and contribute enthusiastically.

The role is focused on the production and automation of daily trade processing. You will be tasked with collating data from a variety of sources, formatting and manipulating before uploading into accounting software to be reconciled. Working as part of a small team, you will be exposed to a wide variety of tasks covering: Financial Statements, management accounts, taxation and regulatory filings.

You will:

•  Use Excel regularly to an advanced level
•  Have a strong and demonstrable interest in IT and automation
•  Have a keen interest in financial instruments
•  Have an eye for detail and a hands-on approach
•  Be a team player with a flexible mind-set
•  Hold a recognised CCAB accountancy qualification or equivalent

We are also interested in someone who might have any of these other useful attributes to offer (although not required these are desirable):

•  Experience of working with multiple systems where data is transferred and reconciled
•  Knowledge of financial products
•  Involved in implementing new accounting software systems
•  Experience in working with accounting standards and producing financial statements
